What does Project Fusion do?

Project Fusion puts projects together and manages them for our clients. We work closely with our clients to pull together the key elements that make up projects:

  • The property - identifying the best sites and establishing the best use for the site.
  • The concept design - preparing innovative concept design options.
  • The cost estimates - preparing an estimate of the costs, including building costs and development costs.
  • The revenue predictions - preparing revenue projections through market assessments.
  • The feasibility model - pulling all the costs and revenue information available into a useful financial model.
  • The consents - identify the town planning issues and solutions.
  • The funding - working with clients to attain the required funding.
  • The consultants - engaging and managing the right consultants for the project at the right time.
  • The contractors - tendering, engaging and managing suitable contractors to construct the facilities.
  • The buyers or tenants - establishing or working with the sales team to make sales or secure tenants.
  • The facilities - we can then provide a property management service for the completed facilities.

 

Services Provided

Project Management

We provide a comprehensive project management service from the project inception to completion. Our project managers are experienced in all facets of project management and focus on achieving the desired project outcomes in terms of quality, budget and timing. We are experienced in scoping projects, selecting and engaging the right consultants, managing the design process, value engineering to ensure efficient design, managing the consents process, tendering the works, contract negotiations, managing contractors and suppliers, startup and handing over of completed works. Our approach is based on supportive and cohesive teamwork, efficient and effective management systems, clear and concise communications and quality reporting.

Development Planning

We undertake the very first steps of planning out the development on paper to make sure the project stacks up before parties commit to a project. This involves identifying the right site, undertaking a bulk and location design to see if or how the facilities required can fit on the site, establish what the town planning issues are and how they can be resolved and what the project is likely to cost and return. This is usually done with the minimum of up front costs to see if the project is feasible before significant costs are incurred.

Architectural Design

Our experienced architectural design team can prepare bulk and location design, concept design, resource consent design, detailed design, working drawings, specifications and attractive marketing material for commercial, residential, industrial and recreational facilities.

Engineering Design

Our engineers offer professional engineering services in the fields of structural and civil engineering. These services include site investigations and certification, conceptual and detailed structural design, as well as civil engineering design, including retaining wall and foundation design. Our engineers also undertake construction supervision of structural engineering and civil works.

All our engineer’s work is carried out in accordance with New Zealand legislation and the Department of Building and Housing documents, including the New Zealand Building Code and the New Zealand Standards outlined therein.

Quantity Surveying and Building Surveying

We provide a comprehensive range of quantity surveying and building surveying services. Our team of quantity surveyors are able to provide a full range of cost management services from initial costs estimates at inception through to full cost management during the constructions phase. Our experience through tendering ensures we have a large range of historical data available to us to ensure clients are fully and accurately informed of the costs before and during their projects.

Our building surveying team enables us to provide detailed pre-purchase inspections of properties, deal with any unauthorised works or Code Compliance issues and provide comprehensive maintenance schedules. Our experts can also assist in finding the causes and solutions to defective works as well as expert witness and court advice.

Project Fusion draws together the resources and experience of separate companies who offer a broad range of expertise and experience to one company. This enables Project Fusion to provide a comprehensive and cohesive service of development planning, project management, architectural design, engineering design and quantity surveying. This does not mean that some of the services offered cannot be provided by other consultants that the client wishes to have on their project.
